Do you have a child who would benefit from one to one support but you can’t afford a full time qualified counsellor on your staff?

As well as being a fully qualified children’s counsellor registered with the BACP, I am a CPCAB trained facilitator of therapeutic groups and can offer a bespoke package to your organisation covering a range of topics including bereavement, anxiety, self-esteem, resilience, and exam stress. I can provide a structured 6 week course exploring a specific topic, or offer a more relaxed group setting where the participants can suggest themes to explore through a range of creative methods.

I am happy to work with primary or secondary school age children, and am available to provide a counselling service on a freelance basis in your school. I can offer structured individual support, drop ins, half days or whole days as needed.

I have 5 years’ experience working as a counsellor in primary and secondary schools and I also support young people at a local hospice who have suffered a bereavement or who are living with serious illness. My training taught me how to work creatively with children, and I use toys, games, art materials, sand and puppets to build a relationship and enable difficult conversations about big feelings.

I can provide you with a CV and certificates of qualifications and BACP registration on request. I am subscribed to the DBS update service, have professional indemnity insurance, clinical supervision, and undertake regular safeguarding training in line with BACP guidelines.
